BURNING THE GROUND EXCLUSIVE 1985

DjPaulT, thank you for this post. I actually liked this song so much better than Sugar Walls. Couldn’t think why it failed to chart in the Top 20.
Would you have the Ice Out In The Rain remix? That is pretty rare.
Hi Macha where can I find that remix? Is it on the 7″?
Hi DjPaulT, I heard an mp3 of it, floating about on the Internet. I think it appears on a Sheena compilation disc, 20 Great Love Songs. But I didn’t know there was a remix for it in the first place. Was hoping you’d have it, as you have such a vast library.
Hi Macha the only thing I could find was a 7″ release from the Netherlands but i’m not sure if it’s a remix. I did also see that CD compilation you mentioned.
This is the 7″ release on Discogs if anyone can tell me if it has the remix I would appreciate it.

The “Ice Out In The Rain” remix appears on this recent CD from 2012.
This is a different 12″ than what Sheena got us used to, and I love it for that! Of course I own it like most of her 80ies 12inches, I am very confident about the sound quality it now has and I’m excited to push the “download” button. Paul please continue the “Sheena” project. Swear!
You’re welcome George E. it will be continuing 🙂
Hi DJ PAUL,
Do you have any DIVINE 12 Inches?
He died 25 Years Ago today!
Thanks
x
Hi Max I do have some Divine but I already have todays post palnned.
Thanks– it’s great to have all these Sheena singles in 24-bit! I hope you can post “Do It For Love” as well! 🙂
I am planning to Doug, probably next week 🙂
I LOVED LOVED LOVED the album ..(Sheenas BEST album) and I did buy the 12″ single to complete the collection but I didnt play it much. This single disappointed me .. perhaps it was the rap/speaking/screaming combo that put me off. Too much happening in this single. There were many other single choices to give us !
You’re welcome Ramone. I feel the opposite I love the rap and the screaming lol.
Thanks, Paul! This was always one of my favorites from A Private Heaven, and I was disappointed that the Dance Mix was omitted from the CD re-issue. Did you know it was actually a cover? To my knowledge, first recorded by Tim Scott in 1983.
Hi you’re welcome Christian. Yeah I knew it was a cover it’s mentioned in the description above. I also have the Tim Scott 12″ which has the LP and edit versions. I will have to dig it out and see if it’s in good enough condition for a possible future post.
Hi Paul. What can I say today? I just can send you another kiss for this post 🙂
aah thank you Spring 🙂
Thanks Paul!
Let’s make a 12″inch collection!
You’re welcome Drake 🙂
