“Cupid & Psyche 85” was one of the best albums of the 80s and this was one of the standout tracks. Such an incredible record.

“Version” is one of the best dub version in 80’s music.

The incredible thing about this track is how fresh it still sounds. It’s one of those timeless tracks which could pass as a new release even today, thirty years later. It was one of the first charting hits to incorporate sequencers. Due to Arif Mardin’s production abilities this and Word Girl from Cupid & Psyche ’85 are still regarded by UK vinyl audiophile magazines as being in the top… Read more »

Although I have the versions from cd’s, still thanks for uploading. My favorite is The World Girl/Flesh & Blood
PS any chance for a reupp of Stir It Up by Patti Labelle? I guess you still have the files somewhere?

Continuing the love for Scritti Politti and for this blog! The recent runs of Tracey Ullman and Karen Finley were great. Don’t suppose you have any more Swing Out Sister gems….?

I love this track! That hypnotic beat, and that full production. Very pleasant. One of my favorite tracks of the 80’s (although Foreigner’s ‘That Was Yesterday’ is still my number one).

Scritti Politti is always welcome. Thanks for this post Paul. Just great!
