Madonna – Golden Girl Mixes (US 12″)

BURNING THE GROUND EXCLUSIVE 1990

Another set of great ON-USound megamixes. This time Madonna gets the megamix treatment. A “Classic Megamix” which has appeared on other bootleg singles sometimes reffered to as “Madonna Super Disco Mix”. This megamix is mostly of Madonna’s early 80’s hits. We also get a “New Megamix” which is comprised of the Material Girl’s later 80’s offerings endinding with 1990’s “Vogue”.

Please remember these are unofficial releases so the mastering quality is not always the best. The vinyl transfer contained in this post is probably the best you will ever hear these mixes. Enjoy!!

I used to have this Madonna Mix that was a double-A side with the Hot Hits Megamix. It featured:

Jason Donovan, Barbara Doust, Mory Kante etc.

Do you have that mix? I’d really love to hear that again.

Hello from Toronto!

Thank you so much for this! You post the best Madonna rarities. I am very grateful that you posted Gamble in a previous post. I tried to find Gambler 12″ in used record stores and was not successful so far.

Are you going to see her tour?

This is one of my most favourite megamixes ever since I bought it in 1991. Impressive too, especially technology was more lacking then, plus the catalogue of Madonna is already so extensive.
Shame they didn’t Holiday Rap in the vinyl version. And why I am not surprised the CD Maxi Mastering is less than ideal?
Haven’t heard these mixes in ages. So thanks again, Paul for your MEGAtreats!

I have the CD version of this. First time I’d ever heard “Holiday Rap” which was a bonus track on the Disc. (by MC Miker G and DJ Sven) Thanks for bringing back some awesome memories.

It was a shame that they used an inferior transfer for that CD. Thanks for your hard work!
