Glorious! I’ve deffo not heard that B-Side remix before. Cheers!
Absolutely love this blog. Should you ever revisit the MADONNA posts, I have 2 suggestions/requests: the U.S. 12″ of True Blue (which has an instrumental remix and an exclusive 7″ remix/edit, both of which are unavailable anywhere else so far as I can discern), and the UK 12″ of Everybody, which had exclusive mixes done for the UK (again, unavailable elsewhere, or so I think). Thanks, and keep up the AMAZING work!
I remember that my brother had this compact (7″ single). I really like this version, with “Madonna! Madonna! Madonna!” chorus 😀
Thank you!
Great post – I love it when you bring out the old Madonna vinyl! Thank you 🙂
Thanks– this was always one of my very favorite Madonna songs, yet it has sadly not been included on her greatest hits collections and later world tours.
Thank you DJ PaulT. I consider this a rarity in my books. 🙂
¡¡¡Excellent ¡¡¡…. and recording work, congratulations, a classic in 12 inches
Thanks DJPaulT
I agree Paul ,after Erotica the flashes of melody in Madonna’s albums has been few with far in between. Erotica was the last ,more than 50% good songs , Madonna album.
Bedtime Stories had a couple of songs , Music was over hyped on the basis of just one title song just like CoaDF, Ray of Light was so unlike Madonna and the last couple of albums have been disasters all the way.
The supposed new album is also one more disaster in the waiting 🙁
I love 80’s and very early 90’s Madonna any day.
Yog you are right. I did like “Ray Of Light” because it was a departure. Don’t get me wrong I adore Madonna I just think her later albums fell short. Wish she would go back to her early roots it would be nice 🙂
Oh my God!
This is one of my favorite songs of Madonna!
Thank you for this post, a great weekend for you Paul !!!
You’re welcome Paullo 🙂
What a lovely song. I like how it’s pretty overlooked compared to her other hits of the time, so it’s always a treat when I do hear it.
I think it’s probably one of my all-time favorite Madonna singles. It was a big hit but you’re right Jermajesty it’s often overlooked 🙂
Of course it is official. Just letting interested fans and collectors know that this “edit” is a fade on all releases.
The Dance Mix Edit of Angel is merely a fade of the Extended Dance Mix, FYI.
Ally it’s still an official mix. I applaud Paul for taking the time to rip and share this with us. Paul I just want you to know I for one am very grateful to have this.
Yes more Madonna at last. Oh joy. Downloaded the ‘new’ album 2 days ago (don’t worry as a fan i purchase everything and know for a fact that the finished product will be signifiently different anyhow). Sounds pretty good too! Really like ‘Joan of arc’, ‘Make the devil pray’ and ‘Messiah’ but it’s early days sure i’ll be into many more before too long
Wish the internet didn’t provide leaked albums. It was so much more fun when you had to wait to hear a new record. I kind of stopped following Madonna after the “Erotica” album. Love Madonna but she needs to stop with the trashy stuff she has already done it and it’s not shocking anymore.
Thanks Paul for this heavenly single.
You’re welcome Omar 🙂
Why it says that i need authorization to download ???

Please read the FAQ Leo.
Thank u very much Paul, i love your blog 🙂
Merry Xmas XXX
Paul!! You are quite the “Angel” yourself!! I’m so happy you posted the 7-inch version of this song because I loved the dance mix edit on the flip-side. Oh how I love vintage Madonna. I love basically every incarnation of the lady, but her vintage 80’s era output was some of her best. I hope she takes a cue from Taylor Swift with Swift’s “1989”‘s approach and kind of bring that decade’s fun and creative approach. Even get Shep Pettibone or Jellybean to come back and work that vintage magic on a remix. Again, wonderful choice Paul. You have a… Read more »
You’re welcome Jeff. I love vintage Madonna too! I wish she would stop with the trashyness and go back to her roots maybe enlist Nile Rodgers to work on new material like he is currently with Duran Duran. That would be cool.
Have a great weekend 🙂
