Hi Paul,

I was wondering if you had the Machinations “Do To You” on 12″ as well? I can’t seem to find it anywhere. I used to have it on vinyl back in the 80s but its proven difficult to find anywhere online. Much appreciated. Thank you.

Brilliant band of their time! They had a few more great singles before & after this. Also The Venetians were a very good band of the same era! thanks for this Paul!!

Thanks Paul!
This Aussie already have various rips of this track, but somehow I think I can now delete them all and yours will be the keeper – great work – thank you.

All the other Machinations tracks are awesome, as pointed out above. But really look out for Cars And Planes, which was released towards the end of the 8o’s, which was remixed by Mark Berry, and has some of those defining samples from that time plastered all over it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dTwy56d5s5A

Yay Paul. I have had my own rips sitting on my hard drive for years now needing to be cleaned up with some care and attention. I can just delete my wav files now and free up some space. Thanks heaps.

First heard this in the movie Ruthless People in 1986.
Thanks for another good memory, Paul.

I bought this when it came out, and played it very loud all afternoon.

Do you have any other Machinations? “Pressure Sway” and “My Heart’s On Fire” would be just the thing for the blog.

Such an incredible track, DJ Paul!

I didn’t know it and the sound is fantastic,
especially in the middle of The Cut Mix
that I think is even better than the J. Mendelsohn version.

Thanks.

I’ve seen DNA magazine and I am so jealous of those models’ DNA!!) and phenomenal art and music culture!! I love how you show and share the love of their many talented musicians. I am so happy you posted this track as it is a new one for me too. I love this education Paul!! I am filled up with excitement and fire!! PLUS, it’s got a Julian Mendelsohn mix besides which guarantees its… Read more »
