I remember buying the 7″ in a limited edition box (complete with postcards and a badge), which was really funny when you consider they got not promotion here in Australia. Bit of a waste of promotional materials by the record company, but a great song!
Hi Paul,
Johnny Hates Jazz is very underrated here in the US.
Besides one main song. I bought the deluxe CD release,
which shows off all the mixes, and extras.
However, I always enjoy your rips of the tracks,
since I didn’t collect the originals when they came out.
Thanks again.

I remember this single as i have the 7″ vinyl issue. Looking forward to hearing the Extended Version.
Thanks Paul 🙂
I love JHJ! They were/are the perfect pop band!
I used to play the album ‘Turn Back the Clock’ constantly on repeat – that album still sounds great today.
It is a shame it took until 2013 for them to release their third album ‘Magnetized’ which is truely an exceptional pop album .
With JHJ we don’t get volume but we do get top quality!
Thanks for the post!
Thank you Paul for sharing your music, you are a great person and your musical taste is the best. Blessings to you.
Hey Paul. I´m not going to comment you fantastic post. Instead I´m telling a little story. A true story. After work I went to the dentist to have my teeth checked and cleansed (everything´s fine). I looked what it was and I was dumstruck, almost shocked. That very minute I was listening to the 12inch version of Heart of Gold on my car´s surround system! Can you believe that?!? I… Read more »

I’m almost shocked. I’m not going to comment on this fantastic post, Paul. Instead, I’m gomna tell a true story: after work I went to the dentist to have my teeth checked and cleansed. Then I went to pick up my girlfriend. I was sitting in my car waiting for her when at 6.13pm local time your “new post“ message reached me. I was dumstruck – I was listening to the 12inch mix of Heart Of Gold that very minute. Can you believe that?!? I swear it’s true. So odd. Life’s strange. And wonderful 🙂
I so adore what you post Paul. So thankful for your generosity each and every day. So happy for another Johnny Hates Jazz post!! Incredible like always!!
