Thank you for featuring classic HOUSE music. I missed these so much! I’m also a fan of Peter L. Hope you can feature some of his remixes in the future.

Just as another addition, this was remade in 2013 by Nicky Romero, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano. Thanks Paul for all the music you always post, it is very much appreciated!

I remember this track, back in it’s day, a clever use of samples, one of the samples is from Duran Duran’s A View To A Kill.
Cool post Paul…..Loving the House Style posts.
Have you got Samantha Fox “Love House” or Max Q “Sometimes”, both these tracks had that House M1 piano style vibe.

Many thanks for this Paul. Brilliant piece of music. Don’t have this as a matter of fact, so well pleased. Love the acid house era. Sweet Harmony by Liquid, What is Love by Haddaway and the Quadrant Mix of Playing with Knives by Bizarre Inc. are songs that bring back great memories for me. Didn’t know that Peter Slaghuis died in a car accident. How tragic. The two guys from London Boys also both died in a car accident while crossing the Alps and only learned of this quite recently. Quite a shock as I saw them perform and though… Read more »

Little-known fact, or useless information, for UK fans over a certain age (though aren’t we all..?) – the opening of this was used as the theme tune to cult topical comedy show The Mary Whitehouse Experience in the early ’90s!

Ah, finally. There was a night when a friend of mine and I were puzlzing about that small fact. Way before the internet (yes, humanity was not born yesterday via a 3d-printer, to all young foklk with arm, neck and back deformations) we could not look up stuff like that immediately.
I may now rest and have pace. Thank you, Daryl.

Thanks a lot for this post. Acid house or house in general is not my thing, but Peter Slaghuis, who was behind this and the legendary Nu Shooz – I Can’t Wait (Dutch Mix) was in my opinion the best mixer Holland ever produced – better even than Ben Liebrand. Listen to some of his Disco Breaks or 12 inch versions, you will know what I mean.
Tragically he died in a car crash in 1991 so we will never know how he would have transcended the 80s into modern dance music.

You are thrilling me to no end, Paul with these classic sampledelic montage mixes! This, back in the day, was the jam!! I really miss these types of things, but I have read that, unfortunately, the trend died out because of the over-use of the same old samples, plus the litigation for using un-cleared sound bites. But, I can revel in the past thanks to you with the out-standing fidelity you bring forth. I have to check out others I might have in my collection, like The Criminal Element Orchestra’s “Put The Needle On The Record” and “This Contagious House”… Read more »
