Hello again Paul, I hope you got my email and my apologies if it was too long. I really appreciate the 12″ Mixes of Grace Jones on here. Is there any chance the 12″ of On Your Knees / Don’t Mess With The Messer will appear anytime soon?

Disco-fabby!
Thanks Paul!
I have her Compass Point Sessions 2 CD but the two songs are nowhere to be found there.

I know this is released in 1976, but listening to it now again, it is really THE Sound of ’76! And you feel like you’re back in 1976 again!
Do I make any sense here?
Not to mean that it sounds aged, but more like a representative sound for that disco era.
The lyrics of disco may often be of heartbreak or betrayal or even survival, but its music is always brimming with hope and joy!

I thought the same sort of thing, though couldn’t put such a precise year on it. 🙂

Yes, there’s indeed a country slant to That’s My Trouble.
Sorry, however, brings to mind the themes to Charlie’s Angels and Loveboat! LOL!
These also strike me as a purer and more “normal” Grace Jones, before she started going all nightclubby and fierce!

NO WAY!!! Paul — you told me that the original copy you had of this rarity was badly-damaged and that you were going to replace it. I had absolutely no idea that another copy, much less in near-mint condition, would be so easy to find. You must have great sources! Anyway, thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! Another donation’s headed your way. All the best, J.
