Many thanks!!!
Thank you very much for this post. I used to have Fabrique on a cassette when it first came out and wore it out in my Walkman. I had a shortened version of this on “The Height of Fashion” CD but I never had the full 12″ until now!
As it didn’t hit the UK Top 40, I only got to know about this after I bought this LP compilation…

Such compilations were rare back in the early 80s pre-Now That’s What I Call series…and was a must buy for people who couldn’t afford to buy individual singles.
This will be the first time I’m listening to the 12″ version. Thanks Paul! TGIF!
Fashion were one of the most underrated bands of the 80s . Their album Fabrique is a blueprint for all 80 s electro pop . And this single is one of their best . Thanks Paul and hopefully u could post more of their music.
You’re welcome Omar 🙂
Have to admit, I never heard this one before. I looked it up on youtube first beforehand. The video’s pretty cheesy, but it’s a pretty cool 80s tune. Kinda like early Level 42… Thanks for sharing Paul!
Paul
