“Amor Y Odio (Love To Hate You)” is the Spanish language version of synth-pop band Erasure’s seventeenth single “Love To Hate You” from the album Chorus released in 1991. The single was originally a free 7″ included in the Limited Spanish Edition of “Chorus” LP and was also separately distributed as a “promo” for Spanish radio-stations and some record shops.

Here, the meaning of the song is changed. It’s a really fun experience listening to Andy singing in Spanish. I know he has a great sense of humour and added some kind of crisp and cheerful amusement to his rendition.

Awesomeness once again. I wonder if this appears on CD anywhere and also wondering if i’ve ever heard this before. Was hoping for a continuation of Erasure this week so fantastic that we get it

Who doesn’t love a foreign language version of *anything*?!

i think my favourite is Abba’s Ring Ring sung in their native Swedish, where I discovered that Swedish telephones actually go ‘Bing-bong-bing-dong’.
