“Eyes” is the third and final single from the album Cats Without Claws by Donna Summer. Edited in length from the original version on the album, the single peaked at No. 97 for one week on the UK charts.
A remix of the calypso-ish “I’m Free” from the Cats Without Claws album was included on the B-side of the UK release of the “Eyes” 12″ single. “I’m Free” was performed by Donna and her back-up band on a Dick Clark’s American Bandstand 1984 Christmas special and Soul Train, indicating that this had originally been intended to be the next single.

This is a very clean rip of a much sought after Donna Summer import. Great to have this in FLAC format, too. Many thanks for a job well down. “Cats Without Claws” should have made a bigger dent on the charts. I remember listening to it for the first time, and I thought a lot of the tracks were potential hits. Lack of promotion, maybe? Or that “rumour” issue? Who knows…. The rumor issue killed it…plus I think the terrible remix of “Supernatural Love” should not have been the second single…it should have been “It’s Not the Way” or “Oh Billy Please”

Paul, are you serious? I mentioned this 12″ in my comments for your “Supernatural Love” upload recently and now here it is. I bought 12″ back in 08′ for a reasonable price from ebay and was suprised and elated to find the bonus remix of “I’m Free” on the B side, since I wasn’t aware of that fact before purchasing it. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, “Cats without Claws” is a terribly underrated effort form Donna and the remixes found on this “Eyes 12 inch” I believe, makes that point even more valid.
