In the UK “Only In My Dreams” debuted on the UK singles chart on December 9, 1987 only peaking at #54.

I love this track – my favourite single from the album, although I do wish ‘Red Hot’ had been released as a single.

What the HELL is this? All of Gibson’s singles should be destroyed, never to be heard from again. Please, let’s avoid the acts that actually were responsible for the onslaught of horrendous mall pop that we still are suffering from. Please.
I recommend you delete any and all Gibson posts and we’ll just forget about it. How dare you waste valuable needle friction, let alone TIME on this… Gibson thing. What’s next? The complete Tiffiny and New Kids On The Block 12 in in 24-96?

I laughed so hard about your comment. I ha uhm dislike a lot of music , too and some for the same reasons it appears. But okay okay for nostalic reasons of fellow earthmembers, well they should be able to connect with repressed parts of their pasts as well. Just don’t listen to it yourself 🙂 But I fully agree when it comes to banning cheap mall music in the present. Debbie’s a guilty pleasure for me, so I don’t mind if more are posted in succession but I’ll pass on the Tiffany though. There is room for just about anyone’s taste. I’d love some rips from the Iron Maiden 12″ singles that have plenty of cool B sides on them, but I don’t really expect that here & that’s fine. There’s plenty of cool stuff to add to my collection, compare to my own pressings, or simply ignore. Great post, Paul. It is interesting that there are two “Extended Club Mix” versions of this great song – and I *think* both were by “Little” Louie Vega. As Ally stated above, the other “Extended Club Mix” version that has a 5:55 running time appears on the Gibster’s 1995 Greatest Hits collection. This 6:34 version though appears on the 12″ singles and also on the 1988 Super-Mix Club collection (odd name, right?) where it is simply listed as “Club Mix.” Not sure why they didn’t come up with different names for the mixes, but I guess that was the 80s,… Read more »

I think so Ally or it may have been a newly remixed 1995 version. There is not much info about it.
