What kind of sorcery is this?

Again and again you find obscure remixes of songs I adore, meticulously rip and lovingly de-click, polish and share so that listeners (both old and new) can experience the love of classic 12″ vinyl.

You’re the best Paul!

Hi Paul,
another great work by Arthur Baker (by who is the editing?
I think it is by The Latin Rascal or Jay Burnett, is it true?)
Any chance to see Sun City by Artist United Against Apartheid,
also remixed by A.Baker?

Another great re-rip! Happy to have that dub too again in better quality. The European 12 inch contains a slightly longer album version. Very strange that the album version got edited. I REALLY like that album ‘Three Heart In The Happy Ending Machine’, of which this track was the first single. It’s a classic. And the best track on that LP is ‘Someone Like You’. Wow, what a terrific song that is. It got a single release too, but I think it was the last single from the LP, and therefore not a huge success. The single got remixed with… Read more »

Wow Paul!! Again, I am truly elated for you re-posting this single. I missed out the first time when this was released. And one would think, that a HUGE fan of Arthur Baker, would have picked this single up. I have to admit, it was really tough back then as it is now. I love so many things and have a diverse love for a spectrum of dance music that I just couldn’t keep up. You are really a God-send because of what you have in your vast collection. I do love the fact that you and I share so… Read more »

Paul, I’ve really got to thank you again for this record! It is AWESOME! I’ve always loved the song, but in Arthur’s hands, it really sparkles! The dub, in particular, is wonderful! Love those edits and all. Does sound like Tony and Albert (Latin Rascals) did them! The only thing I was sad about, was that the record faded out. I would have preferred a cold ending, but I was very satisfied with the overall quality of things. Those strings are gorgeous! I absolutely love the sonic alchemy you apply to make these records sound better than ever. Oh, and… Read more »
