Burning The Ground Exclusive 1985
“Eurasian Eyes” was the fourth single taken from the second studio album “Boy In The Box” recorded by Canadian singer Corey Hart.
Musicians on “Eurasian Eyes” included keyboardist Gary Breit, who subsequently was featured on several of Bryan Adams albums. British saxophonist Andy Hamilton of Duran Duran (“Hungry Like The Wolf”) was also featured. Hamilton was featured on other recording artists studio albums in the 80’s including Tina Turner, Paul McCartney, Pet Shop Boys, George Michael, Bon Jovi, David Bowie, Elton John and Wham. Canadian singer, Dalbello, provided backup vocals for Hart, something she was doing elsewhere for Heart (“These Dreams”) Nena (“99 Red Balloons”) and Glass Tiger (“Don’t Forget Me When I’m Gone”).
“Eurasian Eyes” peaked at #12 in March 1986 after spending 6 weeks on Vancouver’s CKLG chart. The song was also featured on the soundtrack for the film 9½ Weeks.

Saw this late last night and couldn’t comment until today. Paul, thank you so much for this post. I fell in love with the song because of the soundtrack to the movie, “9 1/2 Weeks”. This soundtrack album had so many hot records and it became one of my faves during the 1980’s. I mean, you could post a week of the singles, Paul, and you have over the years. The Corey Hart record was such a standout for me and would make me so happy whenever and wherever it was played. Thanks so much Paul for an incredle song… Read more »
You’re welcome, Jeff. I never owned the soundtrack but Corey’s inclusion is so awesome I also love the music video for this track.
Thanks a lot
You’re welcome, DVR 🙂
Thank you Paul. I love that song. A shame that no remix was released. Could have been a great one.
I think the edit is pretty rare 🙂
Thanks Paul! Haven’t heard this one before. Great find!
You’re welcome, Nubben 🙂
Dalbello (first name Lisa) also sand on Boz Scaggs’ ‘Miss Sun’
Yes!! Thank you Paul! This is one 12″ I don’t have of Corey’s… Talk about a needle in a haystack, but somehow you managed to fill in the holes of our collections!
This is one of my favorite cuts from Corey Hart a very underrated artist. Enjoy! 🙂
Yes indeed he is a very underrated artist, but he has some terrific singles and 12″ mixes.
