It’s that time again — the Burning the Ground Spring Fundraiser is officially underway!
Burning the Ground is a labor of love dedicated to preserving and sharing rare 12″ remixes, extended versions, and hard-to-find vinyl gems from the ’80s and ’90s. Whether you’re here to relive a favorite dancefloor memory or discover something new, I’m truly grateful to have you as part of this community.
Twice a year, in April and October, I hold a fundraiser to help keep the site running smoothly and to continue bringing you the music you love. The goal for this Spring fundraiser is $1,500. The fundraiser will run through April 13.
Your generous support goes directly toward:
🔒 Website hosting, security, monitoring, and protection
💿 Purchasing vinyl for future posts and requests
🛠️ Equipment maintenance and upgrades

Thank you, Fred. I appreciate your loyalty to BTG over the last 13 years. I am aware that I have significantly reduced your lengthy list of requests over time, and I plan to post some of them above. However, the only record that has issues is the “Seduction” one. I have the U.S. 12″ version and have tried to transfer it several times, but it is poorly pressed. One of the tracks has such significant sibilance that it is almost unlistenable. My only option now is to try to obtain an import version pressed at 45 RPM, although the imports… Read more »
Hi and thanks! Yes, I remember very well that my copy also had a lot of sibilance. It’s too bad. The Dub Mix, however, is very very cool and worth any transfer it can be given. Thanks again and hope the fundraiser went well!
If Paul is okay with it, I can offer the following: Nice & Wild and Seduction (European release). I can’t say how Seduction sounds yet, as I haven’t ripped it. I rip all my records with a Technics 1210MKII/Ortofon Concord Music Blue and Pro-Ject DS2-USB into iZotope RX11. However, all my rips are only in 48/24 (if that’s not a problem). If Paul confirms that I can post a download link here, I’ll make both available. You’ll have to be a little patient, as I’m currently on vacation and won’t be home for another week…and I’d still need to rip… Read more »
