“Imagination” is a 1985 single by British New Wave artist Belouis Some, from his 1985 debut album Some People. Upon its first release in the UK in 1985, the song only managed to chart at #50, but a re-release proved more successful, hitting the Top 20 and peaking at #17 on the UK Singles Chart in January 1986. In the U.S., the song reached #88 on the Billboard Hot 100 in May 1985.

Paul I agree with one of the comments . That this week has been one of the best with your blog. For most of us it was the new wave stuff that meant the most to us. I wish Belouis Some had a longer career . Imagination was his best single especially the rare Dance Remix which has the word “sh–” in it. Do u have that mix?
Thank you omar glad you have enjoyed the posts. I think you are talking about the second UK 12″ that was released that mix is called the “AW-SOME RE-MIX” I am trying to get hold of that one it’s a bit harder to get as it was originally issued as a limited edition.
Another one of his hits that was really good was Let It Be With You.
This mix was released in Brazil, I have it, but today is considered to be rare, hard to find even in mp3.

Dave every 12″ I have seen has tit listed as “Dub Mix” I don’t think it exists maybe a label mess up. My 12″ has it listed on the label as “dub Mix” but not the sleeve.
You’re right. Looking at my copy (and the scanned cover above), there is no mention of it being a dub mix, allthough the labels on the disc itself say different…
