Burning The Ground Exclusive 1989
“Perfect Touch” is the only single released by German trio ART. The song was later covered by German recording artist Sandra for her 2002 album “The Wheel Of Time”. ART never released an album or any further single solidifying themselves into 80s obscurity.

Thanks Paul. Obscure, certainly. But actually a very nice/good track.
I remember seeing this as I was thumbing through 12-inches back in the day. Hearing this now for the first time and like it! Couldn’t find any reference to it being used in an 80’s movie, although it’s got the perfect sound for it! Very cool discovery thanks to you, Paul!
This is another new discovery for me on Burning The Ground.
Thanks Paul 🙂
Her voice is from Propaganda. Still I purchased the 3 CD edition from “Laughter, Tears And Rage – The Anthology”. This is however something new to me. I really didn’t give much attention to Act more than “Snobbery and Decay”. Nice touch Phil
This group is called ART not to be confused with the group called ACT which featured the vocalist from Propaganda.
Nevertheless – a striking resemblance to Propaganda.
Now that’s a positive surprise! Pleasing pop song from Germany, but I’ve never heard it before. Although I come from the same country…. I like it better than Sandra’s reinterpretation in 2002.
The producer Marc Cassandra’s real name is Peter Ries. Was more successful in the late 90’s.
Thank you, AHorn
Thanks for this obscure track(s)… Lots of attitude in those female vocals (angst with a hint of sexuality).
You’re welcome, Low. Perfect description too 🙂
Thank you Paul for another amazing obscure 80s post! I really love that song. You bring back to life these hidden treasures. I wonder why this wasn’t a hit. You are the best Paul 🙂
You’re welcome, Daniel 🙂
This seems really cool Paul. If Sandra covered it, I’m all in.
Jeff
It is a pretty catchy track hope you like it, Jeff 🙂
