I hope all of you are staying safe and healthy. It is April and time for our first fundraiser of 2021 if you remember last October we had a very successful fundraiser in which you guys really chipped in and helped out so much. Thank you again. For those that are new to the site, we have a fundraiser every six months to keep funds in the Burning The Ground PayPal account to go towards site hosting, website security, monitoring, & protection, hosting for 24bit files on Mega, buying records that are requested, and to maintain my equipment.
Our goal is always to reach $1000.00 which I know we will meet without any doubt.
I do realize that we are living in a very difficult time so any amount that you can chip in will be very helpful. I also understand completely if you can’t give anything right now.
All you have to do to make your donation is click on one of the yellow donate buttons anywhere on the site. I use PayPal. It’s safe, secure, and you don’t need an account to make your contribution.

Hi Paul, Glad to see so many people contributing. You do such a great favor to the music community. And I know how time consuming and effort you put into it. I know not everyone uses them, but our film restoration project uses Patreon, so that way we get monthly contributions. I guess in some ways, maybe it evens out with fundraisers. Thank you -1. I have been giving Patreon some thought but things are working the way they are, and with PayPal there is also an option to make your contribution monthly which several of my readers have done. I am still thinking about other options though. Thanks again 🙂

Thank you for the donation. It all comes down to cost and space I am already paying to host 24bit files externally on Mega. Really you are the only one that wants this format so not sure it would be worth the extra cost to host the larger file size.
Hey Paul. I am not saying you should be hosting DSD128 content for all of us free . But as a fellow archivist if you are going to the effort of meticulously remastering some older rips you absolutely should be starting your workflow by ripping in raw DSD128 and saving that master for the future then proceeding to your 24/96 cleanup. Trust me in a few years you will regret not capturing in DSD. The amount of amazing analogue DSD rips on rutracker is staggering and has a clear edge over any PCM I have heard.

I see your point. I am really not sure how to do DSD 128. Can I use the equipment I already have or would I need something else? Would love it if you could email me a tutorial then I might consider doing this 🙂
