Ooops. I just Googled Andy Taylor and found out he’s got serious cancer.

I expect this is old news to real fans, but I wanted to apologize for my previous post. I wasn’t attempting to make jokes when a man is fighting for his life.

Thank you PaulT, for sharing this previously unknown (to me) vinyl gem.

ps — I just made the 7-day 24bit deadline. YEAH, I feel awesome!

(Pardon me. I’m easily amused by life’s simple pleasures ; )

Glad you’re trying to include even upcoming bad events. Saw them in Leipzig (Germany) in 2012. Never forgotten his guitar play at Girls on film, The Reflex and View to a kill, which were some of my first recordings on my first mono tape recorder in the early 80s

A bittersweet post…I met him outside of a hotel once, he was out having a smoke with Nick (met the other 3 later that night). A surreal experience!

Thanks for posting this Paul.
Really sad news about Andy Taylor, he is a great guitarist, I’ve seen Duran Duran many times, 2004 (Wembley, London) being my favourite as it was the original 5 and Andy really rocked the stage.Stone Cold Sober is a great track!

You’re absolutely right Paul. Touching post in honor of Andy Taylor, really one of the best guitarists of all time. The Power Station really gave him room to shine, and then of course his solo career. Thoughts and prayers go his way.
