Looking forward to hearing these 1990 remixes.
Thanks Paul 🙂
Paul — Many thanks for this! Love this album by Adam — criminally underrated. Would love to see if you could find the “Bruce Lee” Db-side from this album too.
Thanks from Santiago, CHILE
Will, I’m sure that you’re wrong. Whilst you are correct about the dub, the 7″ version AND House vocal both appear on the original 3 track UK CD single along with Bruce Lee. I have the original CD single, boxed edition CD single, the original CD album and 2009 update CD of ‘Manners and physique’ which includes the US remix and House vocal. All UK editions. The extended video used the US remix too and it is far superior to the UK House remix!
Happy xmas Paul hope you have a good one, nice post
More Adam Ant pleeeeeeease!
Puss’n Boots 12″??
Thanks! The House Vocal turned up on the UK reissue CD of Manners, but the 7″ Radio Mix and the dub remain vinyl-only. Checking out the 24bit now. Thanks!
Holy moly. I’ve compared them, and you managed to get better quality out of the vinyl than the label got out of the master tapes. The bonus tracks on the Manners CD are bright and thin, your vinyl is much better.
Hey Will thanks for doing the comparison and letting me know the results. Thank you!
Super super!!! thank you Paul. =)
You’re welcome Guss 🙂
I got this on 12″ and CD Single. I’m from the U.K. and have seen Adam many times recently. Incredible live! He’s coming to the States early next year and has his first album in almost seventeen years out next month. Please post more Adam Ant, Bananarama, Billy Idol, Dead or alive, Falco, Paul Hardcastle, Howard Jones, Malcolm McLaren and more 80’s especially U.K. and especially rare stuff not yet commited to CD. This site is amazing i made a small donation recently and urge others to do so. Thanks for this i’ve downloaded even though i have it. Your… Read more »
You’re welcome Neil enjoy!
Thanks! I love Adam Ant! Any remixes of “Wonderful?” One of my faves!
Thanks again!
Dave I’ll have to pick up a copy of “Wonderful”.
Just to add – I always thought the lyric was
“Made in England, born a Brit”
It’s actually “Made in England, born and bred.”
Nice to know! It’s funny when you misinterpret lyrics.
Love this song. Not heard some of theses mixes before, thanks. This song’s release struck me as before its time. The lyrics seem more pertinent this century:
“There is always room at the top
Don’t let them tell you there is not
Made in England born and bred
An eighteenth century brain
In a twenty first century head”
🙂
Excellent!
Adam Ant, who would’ve thought he’d have a second hit in the US, six years after Goody Two Shoes!
Justin, Daniel, Chep and Eric…all remix wizards that helped make this 12″ even better!
Thanks also to Paul, the studio whiz for another great rip!
You’re welcome Ric! It is indeed a great song with a great producer and remixing staff. I thought this post would be a bit more popular not sure what happened to the email notification Feedburner si glitchy sometimes.
Yeah, perhaps it’s Midweek Wednesday Madness for most people?
I’d imagine this to have a greater response too!
