501’s – We Are Invincible (UK 12″)

Burning The Ground Exclusive 1984

Celebrating Pride 2021

Totally Obscure 80s!

Not only is this 12″ a fantastic pick to end Pride 2021 it’s also a Totally Obscure 80s record as well. I bought this record mainly because the sleeve and title intrigued me, many times I will buy a record just for its artwork and imagery, this is one of those records.

“We Are Invincible” is a record that I could not find any information about at all other than 501’s only released two singles according to Discogs.

I hope that you enjoy this record it’s a HI-NRG track that I can imagine would have been a hands in the air late-night floor filler.

Happy Pride everyone.

Hey Paul!

I haven’t commented for a very long time, but I’m still appreciating your fantastic work! 🙂

This “totally obscure” track wasn’t obscure for me at all. My favourite radio station in Germany regularly used the instrumental version as background music for a chart countdown or something during the 80’s. So I cannot count how often I heard it back then. I also own a copy of the original 12″!

Nice to see/hear ist here. 🙂

Best wishes

Wonderful work Paul! Thank you this is awesome, never heard of this one before :-).

Quick question, are you guys hearing a left channel distortion in the louder parts – for example 2:15-2:30 into track 1?

Thanks for this Paul. Do we have any clue who the vocalist is on this? I note that it is Princess singing on their second release…but not sure this is her.

Fabulous Paul! What an attention grabber this cover is!!! So much like you, I too would buy records sometimes just based on the artwork alone. And, there were times that the music would be great as well. Thanks for a great time this month to celebrate Pride in all its musical incarnations. It has been a wonderful celebration of people and culture. Thank you! I can’t wait to hear this one. Call me: INTRTIGUED!!!!
