The Mission – Severina (UK 12″)

BURNING THE GROUND EXCLUSIVE 1987

“Severina” or V is the fifth single released by British gothic rock band The Mission (known as The Mission UK in the U.S. for legal reasons) released in March 1987. The single was taken from the bands debut album God’s Own Medicine. The band includes Lead vocalist Wayne Hussey formerly of Dead Or Alive and Sisters Of Mercy.

“Severina” peaked at #25 on the UK singles chart and #21 on the Irish singles chart.

Love You To Death (track B2) is an instrumental, an acoustic guitar intro of Love Me To Death which was edited off the orginal version of Love Me To Death so the song could fit onto the “God’s Own Medicine” LP.
