“Americanos” is the second single from former Frankie Goes to Hollywood singer Holly Johnson, from his 1989 debut album Blast. The song is the most widely known from Johnson. The track was recorded at Studio Guillaum Tell, Townhouse, London and Battery, London. “Americanos” was also featured on the 1989 soundtrack of the film “Cookie” starring Peter Faulk. The song was written by Holly Johnson.
“Americanos” peaked at #4 on the UK Singles Chart, #36 on the US Dance Music Club Play Singles chart, as well as topping the Australian charts peaking at the #1 spot.
