BABY!!! My Goodness Paul, you sure know how to strike the right chord in me. Here I am at work waiting for the day to end, and this comes through!! I am in ecstatic delight!! This is such a Summery song and it was always such a highlight for me when I saw the movie and heard the soundtrack to “Earth Girls Are Easy.” These version blow the roof off the album version. What is so addictive about this 12-inch is the little Warner Bros. samples it throws into the mix. Like the sampled riff from “Merrily We Roll Along” or the theme from Warner’s “Merrie Melodies” cartoons! Also, you have Bugs Bunny samples and Yosemite Sam sound bites as well. There also some excellent editing here too. Gosh, I LOVE when they sample and edit. The melody here is so propulsive and you just want to drive a car with the top down or the windows open with this cranking on a Friday or Saturday night!!! I can’t help but babble with delight, Paul. I can’t believe you did this one!! Grateful upon grateful upon grateful upon grateful, I am. I so want to play the dub version of The Cars “Hello Again” after this one. I love cartoon samples and these songs are so much fun.

Blown AWAY and covered in goose bumps!!!

    Jeff

Hi Paul, I need to ask for your help with this. Whenever I try to click the mp3 button, a “Forbidden” Hostgator page message appears. What should I do? Thanks in advance.
    Hugs!!

Hello again Paul. Unfortunately cleaning the browser’s cache and cookies didn’t work. I use Chrome. I’m thinking about cleaning the dust over the Internet Explorer and give it a try. Or maybe Hostgator can give us a hand across the livechat?
    Thanks again; you’re very kind.
I’m dying to hear that Stewart Copeland song.

    Million hugs.

Very fun single. Thank you for making the day a little more exciting. Any chance of other Stewart Copeland material. I know he has a 12″ ‘Gong Rock’ with a remix. It would be great to have a very clean version. Cheers!!

    Hey Paul,

Karen and I are THRILLED that you posted this record. We love the movie, “Earth Girls Are Easy” and we love the soundtrack album to death!! But, it was this 12-inch that was always a guilty pleasure for us. I sometimes don’t understand why a record this good and catchy doesn’t get the air play/club play or attention it surely deserves. On Amazon.com the digital soundtrack has this song as pretty popular, almost as much as the Julie Brown songs. But this record has Elmer Fudd, Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and Yosemite Sam samples in it, plus the riff from “Merrily We Roll Along (Merrie Melodies theme)” that I am saddened that the song didn’t get more of a response. At least you love the record as I’m sure you wouldn’t have posted it if you didn’t like it. Thanks one more time for bringing this back into the world’s consciousness. Maybe, it will develop a following some day. You really do that Paul. You are PHENOMENAL in what you do. You are a blessing as a human being and as a preserver and archivist of great and forgotten sonic gems. Karen and I are deeply touched and humbled by your digital sound re-masterings. All the artists and producers, mixers and re-mixers should be deeply honored with your quest in preservation and perfection. You are a Godsend!

    Jeff (and Karen!)

Bonus Beats: Thank you for restoring so many of the “missing links” Paul. We’d all be lost without them.
