Because I know she’s one of your favorites Paul, I get really excited when you post something from her discography. This is a wonderful single. Thank you so very much!

    DjPaulT Reply:

The extended version has some really nice edits. This Japan pressing really sounds great too. The b-side “Silvery Rain” is one of my all-time favorite ONJ tracks. Check out the video:

Paul, you really ENHANCE my life with what you post. I love this extended version of “Twist Of Fate” and love those edits!! BUT, the flip-side, along with that awesome trippy video is such a find. Gosh, I love New Wave and the fashion and attitude and the sound and vision. You, Sir, are magnificent!!

    In adoration,

    Dave T Reply:

Man, this song and video reminds me a lot of Kate Bush… and that’s a GREAT thing! Love this!!

  2. Ben Says:

I love “Twist Of Fate” !!! What a great song ! I love the energy of it, and I love Olivia’s vocals.

    DjPaulT Reply:

Me too Ben one of the greatest tracks from the 80s 🙂

  3. Don Says:

I love the whole endless loop idea where the beginning is the end. One skillful edit and you can play it over and over seamlessly. I almost want to make one of this “10 hours of” videos on YouTube where the song would go on and on.

    DjPaulT Reply:

Sounds like a fun idea Don 🙂

  4. Dirk Says:

Just saw Olivia in a movie about a wedding. To follow up Your’re the one that I want Sandy with her acting it out on all sort of snorts and stuff.. Man I would love to have had a sister just for that wedding and dancing the Macarena after dinner 🙂
The movie was thin and boring and not a mention worth other that the great part of the mother in law..by Olivia. She could’ve sung it in that movie , too, you know, ha!

    DjPaulT Reply:

The movie is called “A Few Best Men” thought it was pretty funny 🙂

  5. Walter C Says:

Thanks Paul for this gem. I just want to say that after the excellent aussie overdose of the past few days comes to mind a mythical new wave band with no entry in your blog: Flash And The Pan.

    Walter C Reply:

I wrote wrong “mythical” but there is no option to correct it.

    DjPaulT Reply:

I corrected it for you Walter C. I have one single by them will try to get it posted soon 🙂

    Dirk Reply:

Looking forward to that. There are a few tracks I would not have missed for a thing. Walking In The Rain and Waiting For A Train.
Productionwise they could have had better recording and mixing. Especially the lows sound rather flat, replaying it digitally, and I wonder what miracle you can do about that Paul 🙂

  6. memoryboy Says:

Paul I am wondering if this is a re-rip? I saw I had downloaded the first version you posted awhile back. Love this song by the way, always have, I consider it one of Olivia’s very best, her at her peak.

  7. Ralf Bischof Says:

hi Paul, saw YOUR post today on israbox.
Is it possible to post Phil Collins Sussudio. I love the B-Side ”Man with the Horn”.not released on CD yet.
Thanks to the best Maxi blog in the www

  8. Jay Says:

    Hi Paul,

Thank you so much for the vinyl rips. I have many of these myself, but have not gotten to digitize them yet, as I’m not too technically savvy :).
I have one request for you, as I noticed you’re a big Olivia fan. If you have the Cocert for Unicef album, is it possible for you in some way to make a 24bit flac of the Olivia-Andy Gibb track Rest your love on me?
This album to me should be released on CD just because of this track alone.
It is the definitive version of the song, and the studio version an Andy’s album is also quite good, but pales in comparison to this one.

Again, thank you so much for what you are doing,

    Greetings from Suriname, South America,
