“Good Times Come To Me Now!” Boy oh Boy Paul, what an excellent single this is. And such a weird one too! This duo always put a smile on my face! I loved the fact that MTV, back when they did play music, did feature their videos on their channel and this is what I mostly loved about the network, playing the music I was identifying with. I love the mashup of square dancing fiddles and the crazy mix tricks in this mix. What a wild time for musical experimentation. I also loved their other single, “John Wayne Is Big Leggy” and “Sister Friction.” Too bad they broke up after one album. I know the lead female singer (forgive me for not recalling her name) went on to work with Boy George. And Jeremy Healy did go on to other dance records. Gee, they were a hoot and a trip to listen to and view with their great costumes and all. Thanks again for putting that “Cheshire Cat” smile on my face again and again and again Paul!!! This single is so much fun!!!

Kate Garner is her name!! Sorry about that. Also this song seemed very influenced by Malcolm McLaren’s “Duck Rock” LP. Ah, what memories!!

This is a really fun single. Also makes me think of that song in the 90s by Rednex “Cotton Eyed Joe” lol.I also read on Wikipedia that they accused Boy George of stealing their look pretty funny.

This song got into my head so much when it was out that I began to hate it. I’m more tolerant now! 😀

Incidentally, the reverse silhouette of the duo reminds me of the Humpe sisters logo. Paul, you might want to try Humpe & Humpe 12″ rips here too (but hopefully, that A Little Respect 12″ first). 😉

Oh, it was a bitter feud – Boy and Jeremy didn’t speak for many years over it – it was specifically the dreadlocks.

It’s all in Beorge’s book, and him and Marilyn mention it again in a documentary that was on last week. Can you view iPlayer content? It’s here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b07z7y5v It’s really good.

DJ Paul – hope all is well around your way! By any chance – do you have Gun’s the Sky 12″ Remixes and Need You Tonight 12″ Remixes by INXS?

I love this song. Sooooooo weird and different. EBN/OZN was the only other band that came close.

    Thanks!
