BURNING THE GROUND EXCLUSIVE 1981

a-front

“Prince Of Darkness” was the third single released by English new wave band Bow Wow Wow. The song was only released as a single, but a mostly instrumental version made it on the corresponding album as “sinner! sinner! sinner!”. “Prince Of Darkness” debuted on the UK singles chart August 15, 1981 peaking at #58.

For the 12″ “Orangutang” is not listed on the sleeve or labels and is mixed with “Sinner, Sinner, Sinner” I did not seperate the tracks in order to keep the integrity of the original vinyl.

Again, you always come up with the perfect choices Paul. So great to follow Haysi Fantayzee’s “Shiny Shiny” from yesterday to this one by Bow Wow Wow!! I also love the title of this track, “Prince of Darkness” which is perfect for the Halloween season. It also makes me think of my beloved black cat, Eclipse, whom I call affectionately, my Prince of Darkness. Not that he is diabolical in any form, but because he is the ultimate Halloween feline a witch’s familiar with his sleek and lithe frame. (Sorry, I digress.) Oh Paul, you make stellar choices all the time with your selections and I’m tickled “orange and black” during this time of year. When it comes to music, it always feels like it’s “Paul-o-ween!!”

    Thanks so much,

    Jeff

I thought this track would be a perfect one to add to a Halloween playlist. Sounds like Eclipse is a beauty Jeff 🙂

The Flac is currently including the MP3. I just deleted that section as had already downloaded it in MP3.
