Glad to see your finger back on deck, as it were. 🙂

Can’t recall off-hand whether I have these mixes (I have the CD-maxi and a German 3″ single + Introspective/Further Listening), but I’ll grab your rip anyway for the nice quality. Thanks!

    DjPaulT Reply:

Thank you Osc the demo’s appeared on Introspective Further Listenin but the “Base Mix” did not 🙂

    Oboyoboyoboy…

You’re right, I didn’t have the base mix. I’ve heard it before I believe, but thought it some DJ service mix; it sounds a lot like a typical early Akai MPC-60 production. Can’t say I like it more than any of the others – the demo included – but it’s fun and historically interesting. 🙂

Quality great as usual, thanks again!

I’m hoping for the Holiday Mixes Set someday…

You’re welcome Marko I have a sealed copy of the Holiday mixes and have not decided if I want to open it yet 🙂

I’ve unsealed so many records and CDs over the years.

I feel that sometimes life can be too short and music is to be enjoyed in the hear and now.

Paul!! Welcome back!! Gosh, I have missed you. Even now (at work!!!) I’m playing a CD of some of your greatest rips to help me get through the day’s toil and trouble!! Hope you’re feeling top-notch and all those good things!! It’s really an empty feeling without you posting. Never to take you for granted, but I would be devastated if you and your site went away.

Thanks for this Pet Shop Boys release. I think about my beloved feline, Domino, when this comes on. She was a black and white cat that reminded us of the game tiles, thus her name. We sadly lost her last year, but her memory will always burn bright!! I love this tune so much. The Pet Shop Boys were really listening to a lot of Latin Hip Hop at the time and it was so fantastic to have Lewis A. Martinée on board with that phenomenal band The Voice In Fashion on backing vocals. I loved when my favorite synth/new wave artists would get inspired by Freestyle music. Sort of like Dead Or Alive’s “Come Home With Me Baby” and Information Society’s “Running” and so many of their early classics.

Paul, once again, you certainly rock and I’m ecstatic you are back!!

    Hugs and Good Cheer!!!

    Jeff

Thank you Jeff I am so sorry about your kitty pets are always family. I think I remember PSB saying that they loved the work that Lewis did with Expose and that was the hottest sound at the time so they wanted to work with him. By far my favorite track from the duo. I am feeling good and happy to be back.

    hugs 🙂

  17. Daniel Says:

Such a shame that PSB haven’t had a big US pop hit since “Domino Dancing”… many have speculated that it was because of all the homoerotic-ness of the music video, which caused many radio DJs to put them in the “gay band” category and they wouldn’t play them anymore. Thank God the club DJs didn’t do that — as you wrote, they’ve had tons more hits on the Dance/Club Play chart. Glad your surgery was a success and that you’re on the mend…

    [Reply]

    DjPaulT Reply:

It is a shame that artists get labeled and their careers are sometimes halted. The US has a big problem as far as labeling artists they do the same with age once an artist gets to be a certain age they no longer play them.
