This Weeks Posts

Posted by DjPaulT on August 28th, 2016

Hi everybody. I hope you are all well. Wanted to fill you in on what will be taking place over the next week. I went to my dermatologist a couple weeks back because I had a lesion on the inside of my right ring finger. The doctor did a biopsy on it and it came back as Squamous cell skin cancer. The other day when I went to the doctor I went to see a dermatology surgeon who will be cutting out the cancer on Tuesday. This means that I may not be posting for a few days. I am right handed so it will make things a little tricky. I will know more after the surgery and will do my best to keep you informed.

Take care and thank you.

Paul

That’s some major crap! I hope the doctors just want to rip you of for the money and it’s not really cancer. Also I’m glad you have the $ for the treatment. Well, even with 9 fingers you’ll manage to make great vinyl rips! LOL So you better start practicing your left hand, just in case. Wish your doctors know what they doing and you get a full recovery so you can resume with the BTG fun!

Sending you good wishes and hopes for a speedy recovery. I know how tricky it can be to operate one handed because a few years ago, a tumor had appeared on my pinky and it was attached to the tendon. After the surgery I found it very difficult to do anything (open sodas, type, play games, etc) with just one free hand. So definitely hoping all the best for you.

Sorry to hear about this Paul. After the surgery, try to get a second, even third opinion in the best cancer hospital. I happen to know there is a Cancer Care Treatment of America in Tulsa. They are one of the best, if not the best when it comes to cancer treatment! And do research about naturopathy as well – baking soda/water, apricot seeds, alkaline water etc. There is an extensive research available that cancer cells/tumor cannot survive alkaline environment! Best wishes to u. you’re a good man.

Whilst not in the same league, I got RSI in my right hand many years back and was ordered to not even touch a computer mouse for 2 weeks, so I fully empathise with you on that side of things. It’s very hard in this day and age when computers are used so much for both work and leisure. There are alternative input devices which may allow you to use your left hand with more accuracy, eg a trackball, or trackpad.

But ultimately I hope you are able to take all the time you need to fully rest and recover.
