  2. OMAR Says:

One of their best Paul. Do you also have Fight For Ourselves? The 12″ mixes are really hard to find.

  3. Jeff Says:

    Hey Paul

Great Song and very good Remix from Spandau Ballet. Thanks for your Posting. Only When You Leave it’s another great Song and Remix from Spandau Ballet 😉

  5. Junior Says:

One of my favourite Spandau Ballet singles. I also like the other singles you posted in the past from them aswell.

    Thanks Paul 🙂

  6. Jermajesty Says:

We’re Spandau that big in the US, Paul?

Compared to say, Culture Club or Duran?

    DjPaulT Reply:

No they were not Jermajesty. True #8, Gold #29 and Only When You Leave #34 were their only top 40 hits in the US. I never understood why they didn’t catch on. They had it all looks and talent.

    Song_And_Dance Reply:

Talking about great 12inch remixes – I wouldn´t mind Gold and Only If You Leave as FLAC 🙂

  8. Bodyalive Says:

Never heard this extended version….I’m sure they worked very hard to build this version that is very very different from the album version 😉

    Thank you Paul as always.

  9. Stefano Says:

Great choice, very appropriate concerning the dreadfful attacks at Brussels yesterday.
The best single of Spandau in my opinion. Great score, great lyrics, powerful vocals by Tony. I always liked the extended version very much. It’s just the version that should have been the album version and the album version should have been the single version, I think.

    DjPaulT Reply:

    Thank you Stefano. 🙂

  10. Davos Via 45 Says:

Sadly this wonderful song is so appropriate to describe peoples emotions after this terror acts and the whole atmosphere in Europe. Borders are closed for refugees and Nazis on the rise.

Spandau Ballet were huge in Europe, this is just one of many great songs they released as singles and 12inches. Of course the 12″ mix of Gold is epic, but I’m also very fond by their earlier, more New Wave singles To Cut A Long Story Short and Chant No. 1 (I Don’t Need This Pressure On).

    DjPaulT Reply:

I agree Davos Via 45 Spandau are a bright light in a dark world.

    Love & Light
