Now, this is a great classic. I’m very familiar with the song, however, I really am excited about the Ben Liebrand remix. Thanks Paul for yet another cool slice of vinyl. So looking forward to this one.

    You’re welcome Jeff 🙂

  2. Song_And_Dance Says:

All-time classic. I still love that song, and the standard 12inch from the hands of Mastermixer (and producer) Ben Liebrand is much much better than the Shep Pettibone remix.

You’re welcome Song And Dance 🙂

    Many thanks DJ Paul,
    this is another great song.

    I agree with Song_And_Dance,
the Ben Liebrand remix is much better of the Shep Pettibone version,
but I’am still waiting the same for that version!
(very interesting the B-side of this maxi-single that I didn’t know).

    DjPaulT Reply:

It’s funny the Shep Pettibone mix was released in the US but I never bought it.

  4. Bodyalive Says:

Thank you Paul for this evergreen..
Listening to the B side track one again i must notice how often there’s a huge difference between main songs and the B side songs. Most of the times they sounds like demos or something.

  5. Stefano Says:

A one hit wonder from the Netherlands. Great choice. Would be nice if you could post the US Pettibone version too. Thanks Paul.

  6. Synthpopper Says:

LOVE THIS SONG! Thank you so much!

  7. Davos Via 45 Says:

    What a Club Classic!!!!!!
There’s nothing wrong with the Shep Pettibone mix, but the Ben Liebrand remix is a Precious Diamond!

  8. Dirk Says:

Although this song or band was not really my thing, it was good to hear this song played a lot abroad on holiday at the mediteranean.
There were quite a few disco/soul/popfunk-1or2-hit-wonder-bands around in the 80’s in Holland, to be honest. And almost always with the easygoing postordercatalog-styling. A look only needed an extra lick of hairgel and their sisters carmen-set. The music production was a lot of the times ignored, but it had a typical dutch style, broader than labels or gimmicks. (Spargo is a good example here?) This song was ultra catchy and got its hook in more than one demograph, I must say. The androgyn frontsinger made a big impact on the gays back then. (Only thing missing was a beard..)
Great to read all those reactions from different countries these folk were succesfull, in selling and endearing.

    Dirk Reply:

( You do understand that I use the gays as in the gays. Generalizing old style, like back in the days.. when it wasn’t well known to the general public that they come in just as many styles colours and height of platform-gogo-boots or plaid flanel shirts. 😉
