Burning The Ground: DjPaulT's 80's and 90's Remixes

80's and 90's 12 Inch Mixes

Record Room

Posted by DjPaulT on January 9th, 2016

It’s a cold snowy day today so wanted to share this with you. Was playing around the other day and thought I would shoot a small video showing you where I do all of my vinyl transfers. The video quality is not the best but you’ll get the general idea. All of the records are 12″ singles many on the shelves and tons more in boxes or plastic crates. Enjoy watching.

WOW! That’s a very cool setup you have there. You had me drooling over the ‘Physical’ and ‘Soul Kiss’ posters, so I had to watch the video a couple of times. Thanks for all you do!

Thanks for the link. My 12″ vinyl has been in boxes (well, most of it) since 2004. Maybe time to get them out and play them again!

Thanks for the video. Hopefully one day before I die I can scrape together some money to get a decent playback system like yours so I can hear my record collection again. Tubed vinyl is the best!

Is that a gold ceiling Paul???! Glamour!

So cool to see the place that brings us so many treats. Not quite how I imagined, but not far off. You’re so neat and orderly! Love that DoA and Wham on the walls. Do you rotate the 12″ artwork often?

    DjPaulT Reply:

Hi Jermajesty yes I change the covers out every few months 🙂

Even in my DJ heyday I didn’t come close to your setup. So impressive. But more inspirational is how you express yourself with posters and framed covers. A truly magnificent oasis.

Hey Paul, Karen showed me this a few days ago and it filled me up with so much pleasure. This is the place that gives us all that precious music. What a sanctuary!! I loved how someone called it an Oasis, because that’s what it is. I so admire your organization and neatness and the artistic touches all around. It’s truly a treasure trove of Awesomeness!! I’m speechless over it all Paul. Thank you for giving us the video tour!!

    Majorly impressed and grateful!!

Wonderful collection of 12 “, for us we like the old ‘Bolachões’ vinyl (term used by DJs of the old in Brazil at the time that the sales market was strong), there is nothing better than seeing the needle sliding down vinyl and that turned seal in addition to the physical contact, which in the digital archive has lagged behind. Congratulations and thanks for the gift with your scans and remasters and give opportunity to us to hear music and versions that never we would have access if it were your blog.

Sorry to use Google Translate if you have something wrong is the translation fault. rsrsrsrs.
