What a gift Paul this is! I so remember this song back so many years ago. It really made the impression on me. I used to hear it on late night radio from stations in New York City. Don Was became quite the producer after this song and his own band had a bit of a revival with “Walk The Dinosaur” years later. I’m so glad you posted this 12-inch, for memories sake, but for the other versions. You give my nostalgia an HD feel with your victorious rips. Gosh Paul, I have so much love and admiration for you. You thrill me each and every day when it comes to the “soundtracks” of my youth!!

I have ‘freaks’ in a few versions but have not heard Tell Me That I’m Dreaming and the Souped-Up Version is just ace. shame no one from the UK is selling it! Big thanks, matt

Please have a look at 5:50 on this track.
There is a fluctuation on the volume balance between stereo channels.
    Thank you.

  9. Grant Says:

Wonderful – thanks so much, DJPaulT!

  10. LeoRattans Says:

Hmmm, it seems I forgot to say thank you. Sorry.
It may be slightly out of your scope, but would you happen to have Mutant Disco, a six-track compilation featuring 12″-mixes? I’ve found “ze-edits” on-line, but the original album seems elusive. (“I’m a former scientist, now I’m a realist”)
Would love to hear it again.
