“Doin’ It In a Haunted House” is a 1984 single by Chicago born backing vocalist and soul singer Yvonne Gage. Billed as the unofficial answer to Michael Jackson’s “THRILLER”, “Doin’ It In A Haunted House” made the bottom of the US R&B chart and reached the UK Top 50 in June 1984. Paul, it’s been a great time for re-rips. Thanks for taking the time out to rescue these golden oldies from the Burning The Ground archives. This looks like a fun affair and I’m curious to see how this answers M.J.’s “Thriller.” I love the title and I am hoping that the record’s production is top notch.

I want to thank you again for yesterday’s post of Oingo Boingo’s “Weird Science.” I love that band and I am a huge fan of Danny Elfman’s film scores too. And a special extra SHOUT OUT! too for you including a version I don’t have which is the “Weird Dub Bonus Beats.” The remix is quite clever with the multi-edits, like the Latin Rascals stitched together the “bits & pieces” to create this musical monster. I love dub mixes like this because it shows how all involved on the remix make the record THEIR own!!! On these versions, the producers/editors/remixers shine. Thank you for your light as well Paul. You’re so bright and luminous in your talents and personality!! Such a gift to the world you are!!

    Big Hug,

Jeff thank you. This is a fun homage to MJ’s Thriller I think you’ll enjoy it. I didn’t get to post everything I wanted this year. But there is always next year. I may not be quite as extravagant as I was this year though. I did catch a little flack from some folks who don’t enjoy Halloween as much as we do. But you can’t please everyone all of the time.

    Big Hug,
