“The Deadhouse Dub” is the second UK 12″ relesed for the single “Come Home With Me Baby” by Dead Or Alive. Remixed by Miami based producer Lewis A. Martineé the track is given more of a latin flare which was widely popular during this time period. Martineé had also remixed hits for Pet Shop Boys and Exposé.

Ah, you gotta love the work Lewis A. Martinee did on this mix. I’ve always been a fan of his and this mix really hits its mark. Paul, again, what you’re doing with the DOA discography is exhilerating! I’m breathless. This track ooozes sex and is an extraordinary Dead Or Alive release. Thank you for this “stimulating” piece of aural bliss!!

You’re welcome Jeff I love the latin flavor of this mix but I think my favorite is the 7″ version.

    Jeff Reply:

You know Paul, I never heard the 7-inch mix until now, and I’m grateful for that. Excellent job with these.

Hey, I almost forgot about all the samples in this one. I think I know most of them:

“Taste So Good” – File 13
“Take A Bite” – Eve Electro
    “One Step Beyond” – Madness
    “Ballroom Blitz” – Sweet
“Kiss” – Art of Noise featuring Tom Jones
“The Dominatrix Sleeps Tonight” – Dominatrix

I miss the days when producers/DJs went off with sampling. Too controversial now and expensive. I do believe giving credit where credit is due,and the sampled artists should get something for the use of the elements involved, but with all the red-tape an artist has to go through, is it worth it? Alas, I miss the 1980s and all that decade had to offer.

Fab Dead or Alive remix! One of my faves (Although I haven’t heard the 7″ deadhouse dub, which will be good to hear):)

Off the subject now, but it has dawned on me just how much music I have bought directly because of my visits to Burning The Ground… Too much to list 🙂 so if anyone thinks that sites like yours are “stealing” from the artist, they should think again because my expenditure on recorded music is going up and up and up!…

    Hi BTG!
I didn’t know about this one, so I’ll take an ear on Lewis A Martinée’s version!

Just for correction, Lewis A Martine did not only remixed Exposé, he was also their productor, composer… and it’s him who created this legendary girls band ! 🙂
