You’re welcome Omar I love them too 🙂

    woz Reply:

Agreed! Great band – still sound good live. Thanks for the rip!

  2. The Doctor Says:

Heh, I remember seeing these guys live, when they opened for the Moody Blues on their “Other Side of Life” tour.

There’s an extended mix of “Deeper and Deeper” out there; I don’t suppose you have that lying around? 🙂 (I have it as the “B” side of the “Are We Ourselves” 7″ single, but supposedly it was issued as a 12″ single as well.)

    DjPaulT Reply:

Sorry don’t have that one but there was a US 12″ Promo issued with a 6 min version on both sides.

    The Doctor Reply:

That six-minute version is the same one I meant; the so-called “Long Version.” I have the 7″ single, but my vinyl-transfer equipment isn’t quite as good as yours. 🙂

  3. Chris Says:

My favorite Fixx song in its extended glory.

Thank you, Paul. Keep up the good work.

    DjPaulT Reply:

    You’re welcome Chris 🙂

I agree; this is probably my favourite Fixx song as well, although “Are we ourselves” and “Sunshine in the shade run pretty darn close. I remember wanting a pair of tiny glasses like the ones worn by the strange guy in this music video. Looked for a couple of years, and never found any. Probably for the best.

  4. carmatope Says:

Amazing melody, this is a “one hit wonder” from the 80’s, one of the best, thank you

    Robert Reply:

While technically, One Thing Leads To Another was their only Billboard #1, Stand And Fall, Red Skies, Saved By Zero, The Sign Of Fire, Are We Ourselves? and Secret Separation were all very successful “hits” on the rock charts. 🙂

    Just sayin’

    carmatope Reply:

“one hit wonder” for people like me, not for the charts, bro

  5. Ezequiel Says:

Paul, I have this 12″ somewhere, but I remember it slightly more colorful. Or is this a B/W photo of the sleeve? Thanks for your dedication, as always.

    DjPaulT Reply:

Ezequiel this is how the US 12″ Promo sleeve looks. You can see it here on Discogs:http://www.discogs.com/viewimages?release=4290580
