I thought I read not right. I was only known to the German original. Thank you for this upload. BTG is really instructive.

    Regards Torsten

You’re welcome Torsten. I hope others will give it a go it’s a fun New Wave track 🙂

  2. Christian Says:

I’ll take a listen. Since Ivan Ivan worked with Book Of Love, my curiosity is piqued.

  3. Alex Gray Says:

My curiosity was piqued by by fact that Andreas Dorau co-wrote it. I don’t know a lot about him, except that the aerobic dance routine I choreographed to a Japanese-language cover of his later song “Girls In Love” is one of the most popular routines I ever taught…

  4. German Says:

I never knew someone ever released an English version of this song – quite a find. They seem to stick quite tightly to the original German lyrics if memory serves me rightly.

  5. VanceMan Says:

I’ve never heard of this, though I’ve heard of Ivan Ivan. I’m especially interested due to Peter Baumann’s involvement; I loved his work in the 1980s.

Hope you like it VanceMan 🙂

    VanceMan Reply:

After hearing it, it makes me think of the original version of “Jellyhead” by Crush (before they did the dance mixes of it.) This track is the sound they were going for.

    DjPaulT Reply:

I love “Crush” so I will have to find it so I can hear what you are saying 🙂

  6. B Says:

  8. Jeff Says:

Wasn’t at all familiar with this release, but saw Ivan Ivan’s name and became intrigued. Plus they mention Mark Kamins in the thank yous too and I’m a fan of him as well. Thanks for this little gem Paul. You do educate us on the coolest 80’s records. Plus, anything on Sire records is tremendous. Love it.

Glad to hear that you are enjpying this record Jeff. I love it it’s great fun 🙂

  9. Goodguy Says:

I only had the 7″ of this, so thanks Paul!

I think my first introduction to Ivan Ivan was a producer for Figures On A Beach. That was at a time when I began to see and look for all the production info on the music I loved, and gave stuff I didn’t know a chance based on the same producers, remixers, etc.

Names like Stephen Hague, Mike Thorne would get me buying some disc even though I didn’t know who the hell the artist was at that point. 🙂
