Thanks for the rip, DJPT! I’ll have to remind myself with a listen to this song. I don’t remember it off hand. Love the TT music. Nice to see the site is still going strong!

Do you have the UK 7″ version of Revolution by any chance Paul? I believe it has never been released on CD.

Thanks for the rare remixes, Paul.
TT have released a few remix compilations but these are always left out. I guess the single not being released in the UK has something to do with it. By 1986 their stars have already faded in the UK, but they still managed to two more top 40 hits in the US.
The soundtrack is not bad too, and I picked it up at a sale for a dollar back in the 90s.

You’re welcome Ric. I never picked up this soundtrack. I don’t think I ever saw the movie either. It must have been a film that didn’t make a big impact on the box office.

Hey Paul, I love your uploads. Incredible rarities in perfect quality! Thanks for all your hard work….I wonder if you have the 12″ of “Bombers In The Sky” by the TTs? I’ve searched for it for ages….

    [Reply]

    DjPaulT Reply:

Thank you Skippystu! Bombers is one that I never bought but I will try to get hold of a copy 🙂

    Goodguy Reply:

Paul, the Razormaid mix of Bombers In The Sky is great, but I don’t know if you can swing posting that. The US Promo 12″ also has some great mixes too.

Just so you know, if you finish off the entire TT and HoJo catalogues here excepting all other requests, I wouldn’t be the only happy boy in town. 🙂

Everyone needs to hear the Mickey D mix of Doctor!, Doctor! from back in 2007. It’s so so good, it sounds like an official “’07” reissue.

TT is also the one band I would kill to see back together, and which hurts me the most since they are so dead against it. Allanah seems the one most burned by the industry, though. I think Tom is more persuadable if she were onboard for some reason. If the right charity were involved…well, one can dream.

Love Bombers… And This Girls on Fire from that penultimate album.

I’ve never heard this song until now and I think it was deserving of a UK single release. The chorus is quite catchy. 🙂

As Ric said earlier they did have a really quick drop off in popularity in the UK after The Gap. Looking back whilst Future Days did have those two good singles IMO it was a bit too overproduced and the songs just weren’t up to previous standards. Shame as this track was much better.
Reading an interview from a few years back with Allanah looks like no change of a reunion – no interest at all! (see link below)

Tom seems more mellow now, and not as set against it, despite nixing the idea when asked. Maybe that Jimmy Cauty is a bad influence on her? Ya know, what with burning £1m and all. 😉

    Mike C. Reply:

If he won’t tour the songs I would at least enjoy him singing again. I’m not the biggest dub fan, but his International Observer discs are pretty good only… It’s dub. Nothing but say pled vocals from everyone BUT Tom.

“We’ve been offered loads of money to re-form, but I’d rather vomit on my boots.”

    😀 😀

I went to her chair exhibition and found it both challenging and interesting. As much as I loved TT, I think I prefer her being a modern artist exploring and sharing new ideas.

I’ve always had the most respect for my favourite bands who’ve refused to reform, The Smiths, ABBA, The Housemartins… It just makes the music they made so much more special.
