No pre-1987 extended versions are available on CD (I mean: official discography. There are some CD bootlegs with this stuff). The 1990 Mixed Up album include some originals extended versions: Why can’t I be you?, Pictures of you, Lullaby….

Blondie, Erasure, Duran Duran, Elvis Costello, and others have all been given the box treatment–some in multi volumes. None of the expanded editions of The Cure’s albums have included their 12″ single versions of respective singles. Instead we got demos upon demos. And I’m not sure about anyone else out there, but I’ve had my fill of Cure live versions & b-sides that just sound like the band fell asleep on their instruments while Smith rambles on and on and on…and on.

You don’t happen to have the 12” of The Lovecats, do you? I found it years ago from an online site, but the file got corrupted in a harddrive crash. :( So sad.
