BURNING THE GROUND EXCLUSIVE 1989
The Ramones were an American rock band that formed in the New York City neighborhood of Forest Hills, Queens, in 1974. They are often cited as the first punk rock group. Despite achieving only limited commercial success, the band was a major influence on the punk rock movement in both the United States and the United Kingdom.
Released as a single in 1989 “Pet Sematary” was written by Dee Dee Ramone and Daniel Rey at the specific request of Stephen King , who is big fan of the band. This song along with the b-side “Sheena Is a Punk Rocker” appear in the end credits of the film Pet Sematary, which is based on Stephen King’s novel. Although the song does not appear on the Pet Sematary soundtrack it was included on the bands 1989 album Brain Drain.
“Pet Sematary” peaked at number 4 on the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks Chart.

Thanks Paul. Great song and a great rip. Who would have thought that The Ramones would have keyboards in one of their recordings. This the first song I’ve been able to download for almost a month. Great to be back.
