Olivia Wows Sold Out Crowd!

Me & Olivia!
An amazing journey through hit after hit. Olivia wowed the sold out concert in Norman, Oklahoma on Wednesday night. Olivia’s voice was clear and in perfect form. I don’t think I have ever heard her sound so good. The light show was great. But the set list was even greater Olivia performed most of her hits plus added some album tracks that she has never performed live before. She also announced the upcoming release of her new Christmas CD with John Travolta titled “THIS CHRISTMAS” which is available for pre-order on Amazon and will be released November 13. I waited after the show for almost two hours for ONJ to emerge from the back of the arena where her tour buses were waiting. She graciously stopped and signed autographs and took pictures with the many fans who were waiting for her. A perfect ending to a perfect night.

Wow Paul! Amazing photos!!! I can’t believe – you and Olivia together!!! How it was – to know that you are near the super star, so close that you can hear her breath?!! I think that its like a magic. How you asked her to do a picture? Lucky you are!! I’m so so happy for you Paul
I can’t wait till their (with J. Travolta) new X-mass album! Badly want to have this CD!

Spring she was very kind. The thing I noticed most is that she is even more beautiful in person than in any photo. I hope everyone who reads this blog will Pre-Order the new Christmas CD.

I am very glad that you met your music idol.Side by side like old friends, which is partially true, because she is your old friend by all her songs that you have in your music collection.I know that the feeling was great.

amazing! I was just looking at youtube vid’s of her recent live performances. She sounds REALLY good! Was so suprised she still has the majority of her upper register!

Yes Spoinny her voice is in perfect form. She hit all of the high notes perfectly. Truly one of the greates artists ever.

Looks like you had a great time.
I can’t get over the ticket prices – if this show was here in Australia we’d expect 3 times those prices! No wonder shows don’t sell here and people stop touring.

Hi Ric it was a nice little break even though I was still in the same state lol. A nice change of scenery. She sang just about everything I wanted her too with the exception of “Twist Of Fate”, “Heart Attack” & “Make A Move On Me”. I suppose she would have had to do a 3 hour show to include everything. She did sing 4 songs that she has never sang live before “Boats Against The Current” (From Totally Hot), “Suspended In Time” (From Xanadu), “Shaking You” (From Two Of a Kind) and “Look at Me I’m Sandra Dee Reprise” (From Grease). Be sure to pre-order the new Christmas album if you can

Always loved Suspended In Time and Shaking You, even though I have Boats Against The Current in one of her Greatest Hits, I’m more familiar with the original Eric Carmen version.
I don’t know why Twist Of Fate and Make A Move don’t seem to get the love.
Twist was not included in her Back To Basics package European Version, while Make A Move was not included in both the US and European ones!
I ended up buying the US one in 1992 just for Twist Of Fate. Make A Move I already have in her 1982 Volume 2 compilation.
And I will start to budget for her Xmas CD, Paul.

Yeah both songs sem to get lost in the shuffle. Although they did include both song on “Gold” two disc compilation in 2005.

Great pics, really glad you had a good time. Olivia is one of my all time favs, saw her in concert a few times and loved her shows. She is an excellent live performer with a flawless and timeless voice. One of the high points for me was when she made that last note in Xanadu, I think I left the earth at that point. Really glad you got to meet her personally. Thanks for the post.

Rob I waited nearly two hours after the show at the back entrance to the arena near her tour buses. She finally came out and signed autographs and took pictures. I got a picture with her and my tour book signed

I have been on a major ‘Make a move on me’ and ‘Landslide’ kick for the last 2 weeks ..both songs are on permanent repeat at work ! Love the keys on MAMOM !
Does she still hit the high note at the end of Xanadu !?! (talk about breath control !!)
