    Another excellent choice, Paul.

BELINDA CARLISLE’s unmistakable voice is always a good surprise. If there’s more remixes, keep’em comin,… \o/

And by the way, I’m looking for BRYAN ADAMS’ “The Bryan Adamix”, a medley by Sanny X that was issued on an E.P. that also featured “Somebody” and “Diana”. Do you have that one???

    Greetings from Brazil…

Many thanks for this one, Paul! When this song was out, I was on a major Belinda Carlisle kick because of her previous single, “Heaven Is A Place On Earth”, which is one of my all-time favorite songs, and I watched the Hot 100 with anticipation as this song moved up the chart. Needless to say, I was very disappointed when it peaked at #2 (behind Rick Astley’s “Never Gonna Give You Up”). After not scoring any #1’s with The Go-Go’s, I was hoping she’d pull off two #1’s in a row with this song, but I guess it was not to be. The album this song comes from, “Heaven On Earth”, is one of the few albums where I can truly say I like every song.

Sorry for the little ramble session, but I just wanted to share some memories of mine of that wonderful time for pop music! Thank you again!

You’re welcome Dan. My favorite Belinda album was “Runaway Horses” and I have to admit I liked Rick astley’s track better but this is a great track 🙂

This was the only BC song I ever liked ..Belindas VERY best song tho (imho) is (the unreleased) ‘I feel free’ (extended version)

    [Reply]

    Dan Reply:

Isn’t the extended version on the 12″ vinyl single? I know “I Feel Free” was the album’s 4th single in the US and charted very low (#88), but I do know there was a 12″ single for it.

    [Reply]

    ric Reply:

Yup, I got that 12″ of I Feel Free, but as a B-side of one of her latter UK 12″ singles.

Hi Paul, I sure hope you’re not feeling weak!
How was your latest checkup? Everything OK?
And with that ONJ concert coming, I’m sure you’re in the best of moods!
I hope you’ll have a blast becoz you so deserve it!

    DjPaulT Reply:

Hi Ric my last check up went well. I actually got to have the heart monitor removed until after I go out of town to see ONJ. They said if everything looks good on the info thay get that I might not have to wear it for the remaing two weeke. So greeat news 🙂

    DjPaulT,
So much to say as I think we may have been brothers in the DJ world (more on that later). For now, along the subject of Ms. Carlisle, I have the original 12″ Gold Vinyl of “Band of Gold” featuring Freda Payne on I.R.S. This came out in ’86 (when I was playing the clubs) and is in mint condition. It features an “Extended”, “Dub”, and “Single” mix. I’ll soon be ripping it to FLAC. I’ll catch up with you on other related items as I’m still in awe of the work you’ve done here! Cheers!
