Donny Osmond gave a superb interview to Rolling Stone after Michael Jackson’s death. It’s very informative. I’m sure you can find it online if anyone’s interested. They had quite an understanding of each other and I don’t think Osmond would have traded places at all. While longevity & status are wonderful, the scrutiny, speculation, and dyind so young were not fair trade-offs. Just before Jackson was first accused of child molestation he and Osmond were to record a duet, which would have been tremendous as they both have such powerhouse vocal ability. However, after the news of the accusation broke Jackson called the project off.

I wonder how he felt back in the 80s when fellow 70s child star/teen heart-throb Michael Jackson catapulted to MEGA stardom and he was deemed as uncool. At least he redeemed himself somewhat with Soldier Of Love.
