“Something In My House” was the second single taken from Dead Or Alive’s third studio album “Mad, Bad, and Dangerous to Know” released in February 1987 on Epic Records. Continuing their association with the Stock Aitken Waterman production team, “Something In my House” reached #85 on the US Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart and also topped the US Billboard Hot Dance Chart peaking at #3. The song also did well in the UK where it peaked at #12.
This particular US 7″ promo is quite rare. The (SV) [Short Version] is the standard single remix found on most 7″ editions of this title; (LV) [Long Version] is an edit of the album mix found only on this release.

Victor I have the 12″ and 10″ singles. I know the 12″ doesn’t contain that version but the 10″ might i’ll have to check.

The SV is actually NOT identical to the regular 7″ mix released in other countries! The thunderstorm effect that was the introduction to the UK / European / Japanese 7″ singles was edited almost completley out of the US mix. But it was released on the US commercial edition, so it’s not as hard to find as the LV is here.

BTW- the I’d Do Anything video mix is available on the 7″ & 10″ singles as well as the recently released Greatest Hits CD “That’s The Way I Like It: The Best Of Dead Or Alive” (which contains all the 7″ mixes released in the UK, many for the first time on CD!)

This in fact is the best chart performing single in the UK from the Mad & Bad era, partly thanks to the weak single sales and lack of new releases in January.
Brand New Lover didn’t even make the Top 30! A crime!
