Rick Springfield – Celebrate Youth (US 12″)

BURNING THE GROUND EXCLUSIVE 1985
| In my never ending quest for better sound quality, I have purchased a tube upgrade for my Bellari VP130 Phono Pre-amp. I am hoping that this upgrade will add more high-end and energy to the sound as well as tightening it up a bit. Curious to see if the soundstage opens up after some breaking in. |
“Celebrate Youth” was the first single taken from Rick Springfield’s 1985 album “Tao”. The single was a moderate success debuting in the Billboard top 40 on April 20, 1985. After a six week run, the song peaked at #26. “Celebrate Youth” also charted in the UK peaking at #80.

WOW! Especially in 24/96, this sound sounds FANTASTIC. Great mix, great find… and it sounds like, a great tube! Congrats on the new edition to your “family.”

You Don’t Know is a great song. It would be a cool 12″ to see pop up one day.

Is this the first rip with the new tube? If so, I will listen a little closer and post some feedback. Sounds great as usual though
Thanks for some more Rick Springfield!

Well the sound is excellent to me on this rip. I cannot tell a difference between other rips though. Every song is mastered differently so it’s very difficult to compare songs to each other. Maybe if I had two rips of the same track I could see a difference. No complaints here though – great sound before and great sound after the upgrade!

Yes this sounds great didn’t know they had an upgrade for that model however glad to hear of it. I have never had a problem with your “high-end” due to knowledge of most vinyl 12″ records sound a bit different from each other, for so many different reasons even if it has been mastered (including lacquer or copper cutting) by the same person at the same facility. Regardless of corrective eq or compression they might of done at the time of cutting…each recording is different. I really respect how you do your transfers and really like how you are presenting these as they are supposed to sound. It is like your making them “forever” for everyone’s enjoyment.
Thank You

Would love to do that cdman but that would take a lot of time. I spend an entire day working on just one 12″. I’ll see what I can do but I cannot promise quck results.
