Paul thank you for this great hi-nrg classic! Both my copies of this have been played to death…. it’s great to have this again as fresh-sounding as only you can make it 🙂

    DjPaulT Reply:

    You’re welcome Gianni!

  2. jbird Says:

Thanks, Paul! This song always made me think that a Giorgio Moroder-produced album by Toni would have been a great.

    DjPaulT Reply:

Jbird I totally agree I thought this was a Moroder production when I first heard it.

    JohnnyG Reply:

The producer, Richie Zito, was a Moroder associate. I know they co-produced some stuff together, I think Berlin’s “No More Words” for example.

  3. Marc Says:

i love love love that song!

  4. ric Says:

    Hi Paul!
I am SO glad you followed up yesterday’s post with this, I too have this 12″ but net rips of this thus far are rare and not terribly decent. Thank you!
Even though it didn’t fare well on the Hot 100, I consider this a great 80s pop dance single, jus like Melissa Manchester’s Thief Of Hearts and Jermaine & Pia’s When The Rain Begins To Fall.

    DjPaulT Reply:

I agree with you Ric this song reminds me of a bit of Berlin and a bit of Debbie Harry.

  5. Rolls B. Goode Says:

Thanks I think this is my favorite track of Toni Basil or it “Suspense”. Actually any and all 12″ Maxi Singles are great by Toni.

  6. Saldivia Says:

One of the most underrated 80’s songs. Thanks a lot for sharing!

  7. DjPaulT Says:

Links have been restored and 24 bit added.

  8. Dean Says:

Thank you so much! This got a lot of MTV play when it was released and I always like it best of all her singles. This 12″ mix is fantastic.
