The group lost to Bruce Hornsby & the Range; the other nominees that year were Glass Tiger, Simply Red, and Timbuk3. In 1988, the band released the album Told ‘U’ So.

Always loved this song….too bad it didn’t do as well as their signature song, “I Can’t Wait”. Thanks for another forgotten 80’s gem, Paul!

Thank you Paul! Your rip sounds GREAT. Love Nu Shooz and love this 12″!I was so excited when this single came out in ’88. So happy to have it to listen to again. 🙂

Much thanks for this 12″ lost gem, Paul.
And this is literally a LOST gem for me.
I missed out on buying this 12″ in 1988, and was delighted to find it in a second hand shop three years later. I bought it together with a stack of about 15 records, and this was placed right at the bottom of my pile at the counter.
But when I got home, I found out that this 12″ was not in my paper bag, and I had paid for it!
It sure sucks! I like to think it was an accidental mistake, but the single was no longer there in the shop when I went there the next trip. 🙁
I’m so glad now that your excellent rip more than makes up for my regret over this incident for many years…
