“On the Run (The Battle is Over)” is an off-album track written and produced by Ben Findon, released in 1986 around the same time as Ocean’s “Love Zone” album, at the height of his popularity. The single was released under three different titles:

“Hold on Brother”
“On the Run (Hold on Brother)”
“On the Run (The Battle is Over)”

and has appeared on various compilation albums. The single peaked at 48 on the US Dance Chart as “Hold On Brother”.

    I have a list of 12” & 7” vinyls that I have been trying to find for sum time now and I was wondering if I could give you the list and you could maybe track down some of them for this site. Sorry in advance this is a big list and some are pretty rare all of the info on the tracks are found on discogs & and I think most of these can be found on ebay or any other online vinyl shop. Ok here it goes

    Billy Ocean – Bittersweet 12” & 7” Vinyl 1986
    The 7” has a rare Bittersweet (Instrumental Version)

    DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince – He’s The DJ I’m The Rapper 1988 (Original Full Version) Only on Vinyl & Cassette.
    The CD version has tons of cuts but the original vinyl is the full length version.

    He’s The DJ I’m The Rapper – Instrumental LP Vinyl Promo 1988
    This one is very rare it’s the whole LP All Instrumental Versions

    Jackie Jackson – 12” Cruzin & 12” Stay Vinyl 1989

    Michael Sembello – Gravity 12” & 7” Vinyl 1985
    12” has Gravity Extended Version & 7” has (No Gravity instrumental)

    Wendy & Lisa – Sideshow 12” Vinyl 1987
