I was surprised that this ended up being a bigger hit in the US and their native UK.
But it’s still an ’84 favourite of mine.
Never You Done That is also as good, and went all the way to become Billboard’s #1 Club Play Single for 1985!
Thanks Paul for another flawless rip, and Happy Weekend!

I always thought this song was bigger than it was I guess because I have heard it used in so many different thing over the years. Never knew about the Billboard Club ranking thanks for teaching me something new today Ric. Have a great weekend.

Excellent rip DJPaulT. These guys were great! Even English Beat, but General Public had a certain charm and the “All The Rage” album was perfect for the time. A Jellybean remix of the track makes it all the more wonderful.

  8. Woz Says:

Amazing song. Overplayed but still holds up.

  9. Disco D Says:

    Great job, Paul 🙂
I managed to locate this Jellybean Mix on an I.R.S. compilation cd years 7 years after the vinyl release!
My American friends remember this as bigger hit in the U.S. than it actually was (#.27). It’s still a fave over there. Sadly, lack of label support and radio play in the UK resulted in a #.95 chart position. Such a shame. Great choice again, Paul!
